Objectives
The students should attain level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference (Beginer user).
They should be able to :
1 understand overall various types of authentic oral documents (simple sentences)
2 understand overall various types of authentic short written texts
3 produce short and simple oral sentences (familiar matters), communicating habits, experiences, feelings and personal opinions, as well as to interact orally in the same situations
4 write coherent and simple texts (familiar matters), communicating habits, experiences, feelings and personal opinions
5 develop linguistic, discourse and sociocultural skills necessary to achieve different communicative tasks
(level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference).
6 acquire knowledge about Francophone cultures for a awareness of interculturality
Prerequisites
Subject matter
The course resolves around various topics and presents :
1 Listening and reading activities from authentic documents (newspaper articles, TV reports, audio and video recordings)
2 Written and oral interaction activities : dialogs and simulation of authentic oral communication situations.
3 Speaking and writing activities of various types of simple and short texts (descriptive, narrative,
explanatory, argumentative and dialogical).
4 Various activities for the acquisition of grammar and vocabulary necessary to achieve different
communicative tasks (level A1 of the Common European Framework of Reference)
