Objectives

It is intended that PIPP have a small business internship offer for students who typically will be in the midst of 5-year college education. These are effectively small internships with a minimum duration of 80 hours, although the internship normally takes 4 to 5 weeks full time in the months of January / February or July.

The objective is for the student to have a first contact with the business environment close to the area of his / her course, even if he / she is to develop simple support tasks,  to respect schedules in the company, to receive orders and to execute their tasks. The tasks to be performed by the student are defined by the company, and there are no costs to the company resulting from the students'' participation in these activities.

Prerequisites

Be a student in the 3rd year.

Students from other years can apply, but priority is given to those of 3rd year.

Evaluation method

The student, at the end of his / her internship, produces a report that is evaluated by both the company supervisor and the faculty advisor. On the other hand, the company supervisor completes an evaluation form that takes into account not only the report but also, and mainly, the work carried out by the student during the internship, taking into account the student''s integration in the company, behavioral aspects and objectives achieved, if applicable.

The final grade is obtained by the arithmetic mean of the company ratings and the faculty advisor.
