Acquire additional knowledge in the field of public water supply and urban wastewater treatment

Subject matter

Drinking water treatment based on the main types of origin (groundwater and surface water). Quantity and quality aspects. General water treatment plant diagram and general processes and unit operations (coagulation, floculation, sedimentation, filtration and desinfection. Main reagents. Design aspects.

General design of wastewater treatment systems.  Design of main processes an unit operations including preliminary and primary treatment, biological treatment (activated sludge and trickling filters) and stabilization ponds
