Objectives

At UC SAEIO the student will:

- learn to perform bibliographic research using databases and other scientific sources;

- autonomously study a scientific topic / article as a way of initiating scientific research;

- make correct use of  references and bibliographic citations

- be able to transmit, written and orally, the study carried out, presenting their work to teachers and colleagues.

Prerequisites

The requirements are dependent upon the subject of study that the student will develop.

Naturally, mathematical skills in actuarial, statistical and operational research constitute an added value for a good performance in the u.c.

Subject matter

The program is not defined a priori.

Each teacher responsible for accompanying the student should prepare a study plan and define the objectives to be achieved. Depending on the topic, the relevant material for the subject in study will de provided.

Bibliography

The bibliography will be indicated to conveniently cover the subject regarding the topic selected by each student to develop in the u.c.

Tutorial monitoring.

Evaluation method

The approval in the UC is subject to obtaining Frequency. The Frequency is obtained by attending the 5 classes that will take place during the semester, according to the school calendar, on the dates indicated in the CLIP Notices.

  The evaluation, for those who obtained frequency, is the presentation and discussion of a report on the topic addressed by the student, during the course of the CU.

The written report must be delivered to the teacher by the date indicated in the CLIP Notices.

The oral discussion will take place until the end of the evaluation period, on a date to be marked.

The final classification will be awarded after the oral discussion.
