Continue the study of building materials
Subject matter
. Building blocks, asbestos and other cement agglomerated products: types, formats and conditions of use. . Standardization and agreement of construction materials, the European Directive of Construction . . Products, the national and international agreement procedures (UEATC and EOTA).
. Mortars, single and mixed binder, characteristics and use; renders, plasters, pointing mortars.
. Concrete, types and mix of aggregates, types of binder, specifications of concrete, design of concrete mixes, trial mixes, measurement of properties of fresh and hardened concrete, curing of concrete, admixtures, compaction of concrete, statistical interpretation of results, shrinkage and moisture movement; durability of concrete.
Timber and timber based materials: structure of wood, effect of moisture, distortion of timber, durability and protective products
