Objectives
The course offers an overview of the concepts associated with glass science and technology relevant to anyone working with this material, particularly composition optical, mechanical properties and degradation mechanisms, as weel as coatings.
It also seeks to foster some of the skills relevant to the professional activity, whether ability to participate creatively in teams of multidisciplinary work; developing a critical spirit; dialogue and communication .

2. Glasses:

Composition of glasses;
Calculation of the composition;
Glass fining;
Working point, softening point and annealing point;
Temperature schedules for the annealing of blown and/or cast glass objects;
