Objectives

This is a course on ideas, tools, applications and decisions. This is not a theoretical course but you will need a strong theoretical and conceptual background.

Prerequisites

Subject matter

Course Content:
1. Sampling Distributions and the Central Limit Theorem
2. Confidence Interval for one parameter
3. Hypothesis Tests on one parameter
4. Simple Linear Regression
5. Multiple Regression

Teaching method

1. Formal lessons with reference tools and concepts linked to real business and management problems;
2. Permanent assessment: one small questionnaire per week;
3. Open sessions on some Saturday mornings;
4. Three case studies.

Evaluation method

1. Two mini tests of 30 minutes each (25%)
2. Three case studies to be sent to the graders (15%)
3. Final exam December (60%)
4. A minimum grade of 8.5/20 is required in the final exam
5. Course participation, with case studies in paramount can round the final grade up or Down
