Objectives
The goal of this curricular unit is the autonomous construction, under the supervision of the tutor or the future orientator, and supported by obligatory seminaries, of an Artistic Project, constituted by a investigation scheme to the Dissertation on Musical Arts.
This project is evaluated by a jury expressly constituted, at the end of the second semester.
Prerequisites
The discussion will take place only after the conclusion of all the other UC of the Doctoral Course.
Subject matter
a) An essay on the state of the art in student´s projected areas;
b) A theoreticalli grouded proposal, linked to a), of an original research plan for the doctoral dissertation, including research problems, its theoretical framework, and its relevance for the advance of knowledge, research methods and a cronogram.
Bibliography
A bibliografia principal será a adequada a cada especialidade e projeto de estudos.
Teaching method
Methodologies vary according to the semester-long interaction of the student with his tutor.
1. The Final Coursework Project is a twenty to thirty pages long, including bibliographic references.
2. It is presented according to FCSH´s dissertation rules.
3. The conclusion of this project takes place at the end of the last semester of the first year of the doctoral program.
Evaluation method
This project is evaluated and graded after a public discussion with a jury made of three specialists, according to the specific rules of the University.
