Teaching method

The topics of the program framed and synthesised by the teachers, which should be explored through the suggested readings. Starting from the themes chosen by the students, we will try to convey the syllabus in three types of classes: theoretic, presentations by teachers; with the presentation of examples of investigations and the methodologies used (CICS.NOVA researchers or external to the Department of Sociology); tutorial work workshops with the students. The seminar culminates with the individual presentation and the critical discussion in class of the work of each student.

Evaluation method

Continuous and formative evaluation of the student´s participation in class, which will contribute 20% for the final grade; the remaining 80% result from the evaluation of a written paper to be presented at the end of the semester.
