Objectives
The Medical and research Ethics' main learning outcomes are the knowledge of Ethical standards of conduct of the Portuguese Medical Association, of the major problems of Bioethics as applied to Contemporary Medicine and of the legal framework of the medical profession, with knowledge of the rules, regulations and legal requirements involved in Medical Liability (Civil, Criminal and Disciplinary). Special emphasis is given to Ethics of Clinical Research. Rather than forcing the participant to assimilate a lot of information that he/she may easily forget, it is intended to provide and put into practice the set of tools necessary for the analysis of real cases with dilemmatic situations with deontological, ethical and /or legal implications, that the clinician may encounter in his/her daily professional activities.
