Objectives

Surgery is the ensemble of medical specialties    that provide care to patients   that   need (or   might   need)   a   surgical   intervention.   A new "paradigm" today revolves around the concept of "PRECISION SURGERY”. One of the main objectives of the initially called General Surgery course is to pass to our students this multidisciplinary practice, through on a learning process based on the resolution of concrete problems. A more participating learning process, giving emphasis to what you learn, not what we teach.

Without the theorical knowledge of the different diseases, it is not possible to reach any objective.

In this first contact with "surgical diseases", we will give privilege to objectives that are connected to the gathering of clinical data (anamnesis and physical examination) and the search of a diagnosis through integrated clinical thinking that leads to a treatment strategy. There will be detailed at this stage the technical aspects of the various surgical proposals.
