General Aims
The general goal of this Unit is to bring to the Students the knowledge of medical specialization, to be disclosed, Sports Medicine.
We hope to provide the students with the themes below, a perspective of this discipline and the its growing impact in the health and well being of the population.
Specific Aims
These goals are to give the Students the basic concepts of intervention in Sports Medicine, and learning of the biochemical and physiological basis that guide the medical practice in this field.
The Student will be lectured in theoretical and practical aspects in contact with professionals and their protocols of acting in the field
Prerequisites
Subject matter
The concept of Sports Medicine, as a medical specialization, belonging in the Health Population , and with the aim of adjuvant in thetreatment of chronic diseases.
The pupils will be in contact with several doctors and other Professional in the field.

Teaching method
The classes will be of 1 hour and 50 minutes and the first hour will be of theoric exposition and the second will be discussion of na article or clinical case.
Without failing classes the students will be invited to visit a clinical institute of sports medicine.
There will be observation of athletes and treatments.
Evaluation method
a)Evaluation assement
Evaluation 50% along the classes and 50 % by a test of 20 multiple choice questions
B) Evaluation appraisal
The assiduity to classes is an adjuvant factor of 50% mentioned , meaning 10% of 50%
