Objectives
a) To recognize the need and importance of environmental impact studies on land management;
b) To understand the nature and characteristics of the processes and decisions related with the environment;
c) To discuss the theories and methodologies in environmental impact assessment;
d) To analyze the importance of natural processes and the influence of human activity in its dynamics;
e) To develop critical thinking on political models and socio-economic use of natural resources;
f) To apply the acquired knowledge to concrete situations analysis, particularly with the use of Geographic Information Systems.
