A bibliografia, nacional e internacional, é seleccionada pela equipa docente no início de cada semestre, de modo a cobrir as areas tematicas seleccionadas e os diferentes investigadores que animarão o Seminário.
National and international bibliography is selected by the teaching team at the beginning of each semester, so that the chosen thematic areas and researchers are covered.
Teaching method
The Advanced Seminar in Sociology is organized in working sessions, ensured by invited researchers or experts of a certain sociological thematical area. Besides the initial presentation associated to a first part of the Seminar (preceded by the distribution of a supporting text/article, recommended bibliography), the supervision and follow up of the students’ debate are also foreseen. The teaching methodology serves as an instrument to train the students in the capacity of formulating meaningful questions, presenting and justifying a coherent reasoning or thought.
Evaluation method
The evaluation will take into account the following criteria:
- Quality of the student participation in the oral debate;
- Quality of a text of scientific writing, about one of the presented research projects
