Objectives
a) To get a profound knowledge of the main subjects and issues from the Philosophy of Knowledge domain;
b) To be able to evaluate both from an internal and an external point of view different proposals;
c) To enhance the analytical ability;
d) To practice the skills to read in a critical way some major philosophical texts;
e) To practice competences implicated in getting discourses and written texts philosophically consistent and relevant.
Prerequisites
None.
Subject matter
Through the analysis of Descartes and Locke philosophical texts will be discussed:
1. Knowledge as a philosophical issue
2. Processes of getting knowledge
3. Faculties involved in knowledge
4. Modalities of knowledge
5. Limits of knowledge
6. Some solutions for the «problem»
