Objectives

a) To acquire a basic knowledge of Culture Studies in a synchronic and diachronic perspective.
b) To develop skills in analysing and interpreting different definitions of culture.
c) To identify and discuss different cultural practices and critical discourses related to the concept of culture.

Exposition of theoretical concepts and active methodology in class with the analysis and discussion of texts previously selected.

Participação na discussão de textos na aula e apresentação oral de um trabalho (40%); realização de uma Frequência (60%).
