Objectives

At the end of this curricular unit, the student will have acquired knowledge, skills and competences that will allow her/him to:
a) know and use computer tools on the development of educational products;
b) analyse and propose evaluation methodologies of educational content and products with technological basis;
c) analyse recent literature on educational computer and networks environments;
d) write synthesis on educational technology themes and moderate debates on those themes;
e) know various uses of technology in education with a keen interest on the Portuguese examples.
f) individually explore computer and network systems in order to acquire a personal and concrete perspective and experience on those environments.

No specific requirements, though attendance of eLTICE II is recommended

The syllabus is modular in nature and integrates the three courricular units with common name, parts I, II and III, that will be included as watermark items for better contextual understanding:

Teaching method
[accordingly to Learning Methodologies (A3ES)]
Classes will undergo a seminar and workshop approach, combining face-to-face with on-line, allowing for theoretical presentations, debate and practical work (scientific journals reading, Internet searching and using e-learning systems and applications).
Classes will be taught in Portuguese unless there are foreign students who do not know the language and English will be used.
Evaluation method
The assessment method will be continuous in nature, comprising both participation in face-to-face and online activities and the elaboration and oral presentation of a digital portfolio.
