Objectives

The curricular unit aims to give students a global view on the state of the art in the context of the study of Public Policies and its relationship with e-planning.
It also seeks to provide them with the knowledge of the most representative governance models and their dynamics in public policies, at local, regional and national levels, analyzing trends and their impacts.
The objective of this course is to create the conditions for the development of analysis and application capacities in this domain, seeking to situate the Portuguese administrative and governance model in the context of models of analysis and international practices.

Teaching method

This UC will develop different learning strategies with expository and debate sessions
In some sessions, national or international experts may be invited to discuss the issues under analysis with the students.

Evaluation method

The evaluation will include participation, which will include the presentation and discussion of texts from the bibliography and the elaboration and presentation of the monograph on one of the themes of this UC.
