Objectives
Education and training in photography, for photographers or technicians specialized in this field, is not the purpose of this curricular unit. With an introduction to the basic photographic processes, the main objective consists in a consistent approach of instrumentation and techniques applied to record images of materials, objects and constructions onto a sensitive medium, giving its importance to such records in the documentation process and conservation-restoration of cultural heritage. Mastering this knowledge and specific language, the conservator-restorer will be able to collaborate with the other members of the team in which he will be integrated, in particular with the photographers and related professionals.

Teaching method
This UC develops the teaching methodology in two areas , theoretical , with exhibition modules , and practice. Dividing this on: taking views in the studio and outside and darkroom.
In practice studio to capture in the digital environment , different documents, volumetric and plans : glass, metal, wood, graphic documents , textiles , painting . Performed with two light sources , continuous and instantaneous. And different accessories , diffusers and reflectors .
In the darkroom for the contact with the material handling b & w and its processing , students perform two exercises , frame and taking views in pin hole ( estenopo ), two sub native disciplines of photography.
Evaluation method
Implementation of the Programme is based on the explanation and demonstration of the various contents in class, and performing various pratical exercises .These exercises will be individually assessed against the student however the requirement to contemplate the execution of a final portfolio, containing technical information on shape memory . The final evaluation will consist a jury to the effect that enjoy the globally portfolio taking into account the partial assessments already carried out , attendance , participation and commitment demonstrated in class, then assigning the final grade.
