Teaching method
This UC is intended to allow students to acquire an integrated view of the research performed at the different ITQB; FCT; FCM through Lab Rotations.
These will be chosen from a list presented by lab leaders. Each student, in a team build from 2 members, will participate in 3 short projects during the semester.
It is expected that this UC will contribute to the student’s choice of the Dissertation topic.
The evaluation will be continuous but at the end of the semester the students are expected to write a short report and present an oral communication.
Evaluation method
Evaluation:
1- 40%. The PI of each lab will evaluate the students.
2- 30%. The students will write a report of one selected lab rotation (5-10 pgs max.), describing: objectives of the work, short state-of-the art of the research theme, strategies and research methodologies, results or perspectives of results, the expected impact of the work in the research area and relevant bibliography.
3- 30%. A 15-min oral presentation of the report followed by questions (30%).
