Objectives

  • Identify and analyze the impact of information technology (IT) on competitive advantage;
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of different types of IS;
  • Evaluate the strategic options and the ways in which the business and IS strategies can be aligned and integrated;
  • Demonstrate how to apply appropriate technological systems and infrastructures to support a business IS solution;
  • Understand how can IS support managerial decision making;
  • Evaluate the organizational, managerial, and technical factors involved in the successful implementation of e-business.

Prerequisites
